God does not leave us...

God does not leave us, or abandon us during difficult times.  Rather, it is through the strength of our relationship with Him that we become more like Jesus who overcame the world. 

1 John 5:4 - 5 (NIV) 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.  5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.  

The great victory we will gain in such times is our faith in God.  Ironically, it is the same thing that many throw away during difficult times.  Our assurance is that if we hold on to our faith in God, and don’t fall into bitterness or doubt, God will actually strengthen us at the time and manner that we need it!
