God loves to draw near to those who sincerely seek Him

I identify with the feelings of many parents who are simply besotted with their little children. The look that is often on their faces when their child runs happily into their arms. Did you know that God loves to draw near to those who sincerely seek Him, who seek Him in truth?

Psalm 145:18 (NIV) The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Though God is holy and lives in unapproachable light, yet at the same time He desires to draw near to us because of His love for us. Hence to those who sincerely seek God, He draws even nearer to our hearts. James 4:8 (NIV) Come near to God and he will come near to you...

That is why He is there with us and for us. He is there when we call on Him sincerely. He is there when we need Him most. He will always pick up our prayer phone when we call. Because He is our heavenly Father who is present with us.
