A man charged by God with the responsibility of protecting the last remaining Bible and bringing it to a safe place. In the story it relates how valuable the Bible is to Eli and how he protected it from all kinds of violent people. Literally with his life until the very end. Eli had memorized the entire Bible and until his dying breath, retold the entire Bible to be recorded for prosperity.

Did you know that in real life, Denzel Washington is a devoted Christian who reads his Bible every day and attends a Pentecostal church? 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
