Jesus showed us on the cross...

Jesus showed us on the cross the extent which He is willing to go.  The incredible price Jesus was willing to pay to open the door for reconciliation.   With the price of His life and the price of sin now reckoned to Him.  

In theology it is known as propitiation, where Jesus’ sacrifice at the cross fulfils the perfect justice required by a holy and righteous God.  It makes it possible for God to show complete mercy without compromising His righteousness and justice against sin. 

1 John 4:10 (NIV) This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

The only thing left for us to experience reconciliation with God is to place our faith upon Christ and the work He has done on the cross.
