Reconciliation

The heart of God is to bring reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:18 (NIV) All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Hence, we should seek to bring about reconciliation! However, bridge builders are not always appreciated. Wisdom is needed to discern whether we are the right person to bring reconciliation.

For example, if your wife has a conflict with her cousin and you try to get in to resolve the conflict.  The cousin can accuse you by saying you are siding with your wife and trying to get the cousin to admit her mistakes.  And your wife may get upset because you empathise with her cousin and feel you do not love her anymore. J

Sometimes, it is better for someone else to do the reconciliation.  There is much wisdom when Jethro advised Moses in Exodus 18 to have others deal with the easier cases first, only leaving those they cannot resolve to reach Moses.

Your generosity helps further our mission to equip leaders.
