Being close enough to God...

John 5:19 (NIV) Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. Have you ever thought about the fact that perhaps we can also see what the Father does? Jesus was close enough, intimate enough to see. If we were to draw closer to God and be sensitive to Him, we may sense, even see what the Father is doing. We may experience God's purposes with a greater clarity. We may discern how God shows His love to other believers! Have you considered how we can truly demonstrate biblical mercy unless we personally experience how God shows mercy in different situations? How do we truly exercise faith unless we personally experience how God would want us to exercise faith? 
 
Being close enough to God may help us do and be what God does and is.
