What God Values Most

In today's world, we often see people being celebrated for their talents, giftings, and skills, especially in popular TV reality shows. While there is nothing wrong with recognizing and cultivating these abilities, I often wonder what God values most.

I believe that above all else, God is searching for hearts that are fully surrendered to Him, hearts that are willing to serve His purposes and His agenda. We don't need to have all the answers or possess every skillset right now. Instead, we can focus on developing a godly character and a willing heart to serve the Lord.

As 1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us, "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." In other words, God is less concerned with our outward achievements and more interested in the condition of our hearts.

So let's strive to cultivate hearts that are fully devoted to God, hearts that are willing to obey Him no matter the cost. As we do so, I believe that God will equip us with whatever we need to fulfill His purposes for our lives. After all, He is faithful to complete the work that He has begun in us (Philippians 1:6).

Your generosity helps further our mission to equip leaders.
