Reflections

It really struck me to realise that a new world awaits the faithful in God.    A new and glorious heavens and a new earth!  A place so glorious that the saints would not bother to reminisce about the former.    

Isaiah 65:17 - 18 (NIV) 17 “Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth.   The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. 18 But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.   

Once we understand God's plan for this planet, we realise that trying to save the environment is admirable but a misplaced priority when compared to the priority of saving the lost.  Certainly we should not destroy this earth though neglect.  But we should never confuse our priorities.  There will be a new and far better earth for this broken one.  But there will be no new salvation for the damned.
