Reflections

Do we look at the criteria for elders and deacons in the Bible, and think, "Well, that is not for me"? 
 
Yet the Scriptures challenge us towards maturity, indeed to be more like Christ. 

Ephesians 4:13 (NIV) 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 


Hence, the criteria for deacons and elders should also serve as an aspirational goal in our lives.  Can you find elders and deacons that you know of, who can serve as inspiration to you to mature more?
