Reflections

How willing are we to listen to the Spirit of God in us? Do we welcome, even seek His input? Or do we put Him in a box with our fixed logic and perspectives? For intellectuals such as myself, it is always a challenge not to constrain the Spirit with my thinking but instead to constrain myself and allow the Spirit to speak as He wishes.

1 Corinthians 2:11 - 12 (NIV) 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

If all believers do this more, there would be more unity and harmony in all our midst.
