How do we view the Scriptures?

Scriptures are records of God’s dealings with men and a book to instruct us on the ways of God. Scriptures are meant to provide us the principles by which we live by. 2 Timothy 3:16 - 17 (NIV) 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,  17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Scriptures are holy because God views it as sacred. Hence, it is critical for us to reach a deep conviction in our hearts that the Scriptures are from God and therefore holy. Just like the Bereans in Acts 17:10 - 11 (NIV) 10As soon as it was night, the brothers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.  11Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
