Reflections

Satan imitates, but he is a poor imitator. That is why he specialises in razzamatazz, to hide the lack of quality. He aims for the quick hit, and masks the painful realities.

Exo 7:11-12 (NIV) Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: 12 Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.

Pharaoh's magicians could imitate some of God's miracles, but never match the real stuff. Beware such counterfeits. What God offers may not usually be accompanied by lights and sounds, but it brings true lasting peace, joy and righteousness.
