Gideon had a perspective of God in Judges 6:13 (NIV) "But sir," Gideon replied, "if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, 'Did not the LORD bring us up out of Egypt?' But now the LORD has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian."

What was Gideon’s perspective of God at that time? His perspective was that God had abandoned them. God did not care about them anymore.

If our perspective is that God does not care, we would not turn to God. Even if we ask, He would not give us the time of day. Why bother God when He is not bothered about us? If our perspective is that God is

not powerful enough, we would not rely on Him. Why go to God if He is not able to help us?
