Reflections Wilson Lim 8 November 2023 Do you hear His voice? What benefits does a sheep receive from a shepherd? A shepherd is able to protect and care for the sheep. The shepherd feeds them, clean them and keeps them from harm. The shepherd keeps them from wandering away, from danger. Yet sheep that listen to the shepherd gets the benefits of the relationship. Sheep that ignore the shepherd, fails to taste the benefits. For how can the shepherd help the sheep if the sheep keeps ignoring or running away from the shepherd? 
 Many want the blessings, but not the Blesser. Many want the benefits but not the relationship. Unfortunately, it does not work like that. The benefits and blessings come as a result of the relationship. It cannot be provided separate from the relationship. It is like a man saying to a woman, “I am marrying you just to get all the benefits of a wife. But I have no desire to have a real relationship with you.” How will that ever work? 
 Where is your relationship with God today? Are you His sheep today? Do you hear His voice? John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Reflections Wilson Lim 9 March 2022 God chooses to use normal people God chooses to use normal people with personal inadequacies and challenges to be His vessels. We need to have faith in God to be used by Him despite our personal inadequacy. What are some of your personal mountain of inadequacies? Inability to speak publicly, tongue tied, awkward talking to people, some form of ailment? Fear of man? Your own disability? God will take your inabilities and change them. One’s disabilities need not disqualify. Sometimes God lets us grind through the experience. He wants us to persevere through the pressure, trusting Him during impossible times. When you face an impossibility, leave it in the hands of the Specialist! Refuse to doubt, but trust in God. One author said: We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. Reflections Wilson Lim 4 September 2024 The Good Shepherd... One thing is certain about sheep: they will perish if left to themselves. Jesus saw this in Matthew 9:36 (NIV) When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 
 
 The people were wandering helplessly without protection or care, because of a lack of a shepherd. Unless we recognise our own helplessness and desperate need for the Shepherd, we will not choose to enter through the Sheep Gate of Jesus Christ.

Reflections Wilson Lim 2 July 2025 Building God's Church I was reminded again in my devotions that building God's Church is the greatest project we can participate in. But ultimately it is God who makes it grow. 1 Corinthians 3:6 - 8 (NIV) 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. What is important is that we understand and appreciate our role. Those who are faithful in their role will be richly rewarded. I am looking forward to seeing all those who will be rewarded! Reflections Wilson Lim 8 October 2025 Worship with Creativity We are called to worship God with all of our creativity! God gave us creativity so that we may worship Him creatively. With every instrument that we can create. We are to make a joyful noise with them all. Psalm 98:4-6 (NIV) 4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; 5 make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, 6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn-- shout for joy before the LORD, the King. When you worship God in song, in dance, in music, in painting, in poems, in graphics and so forth - you begin to awaken different parts of your soul to worship God. It is like stimulating all the different parts of your brain to re-discover how to worship God. It is like stretching worship muscles you never even knew you had. All of who you are were created to worship God. Your body, soul and spirit. Every part. So worship God with all that you are! Reflections Wilson Lim 5 February 2025 Our conscience can be liken to spectacles Our conscience can be liken to spectacles. When our conscience is clear, it is like having clear spectacles. We can see better and clearer. We can begin to detect what is right or wrong more correctly. Thus, we can respond to God more easily because our spiritual eyesight is clearer. Those with a clear conscience are able to respond to God with integrity. Titus 1:15 (NIV) To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. A clear conscience makes for a healthy faith.
