- God will take your inabilities... | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Lai Ling Lim 8 February 2023 God will take your inabilities... Jeremiah 1:4-8 (NIV) The word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” 6“Ah, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.” God choose to use those who are normal people with personal inadequacies and challenges to be His vessels. We need to have faith in God to be used by Him despite our personal inadequacy. What are some of your personal mountain of inadequacies; inability to speak publicly, tongue tied, awkward talking to people, some ailment of some form. Don’t feel like up to it. Fear of man? Your own disability? God will take your inabilities and change them. One’s disabilities need not disqualify. - LL Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link Recent Posts See All God does not leave us... - How significant is our relationship with God? | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 7 August 2024 How significant is our relationship with God? How significant is our relationship with God? What did Jesus say in Matt 22:37-38? Loving God was the first, the greatest, the most important relationship we could ever have! Loving God captures the essence behind the first 4 commandments! In fact, if we truly love God, we would fulfil the first 2 commandments automatically! Exodus 20:2-7 (NIV) 2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 3 "You shall have no other gods before me. 4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below… 7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. - Worship is inherent in us. | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 5 July 2023 Worship is inherent in us. Psalm 98:4 - 7 (NIV) 4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; 5 make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, 6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the LORD, the King. 7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Just like the rest of creation, each one of us was created by God to worship, from the moment we were birthed from our mother’s womb. Psa 8:2 (NIV) From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise… Worship is inherent in us. It has being inbuilt in us. We were designed to worship God. Worship is a longing deep in our hearts. Something should trigger in us when we are around God’s Manifest Presence. How are we worshipping God today? - God is faithful to us | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 4 October 2023 God is faithful to us It is easy to seek the Lord when we are at the top of the mountain. Yet, Jesus is also the God of the valley lows! Let’s not be slow to diligently seek Him out even in such times of trials and challenges! God is faithful to us and He shall never fail us. Let us then keep having that faith in God to move in and through our situation. I am reminded of Hebrews 11:-6 (MSG) which says, "It's impossible to please God apart from faith". And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. - Available to God. | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 7 June 2023 Available to God. Availability is crucial in building healthy relationships. We need to be present for relationships to develop. God Himself has promised to be with us, to be available. 1 Timothy 2:13 (NIV) if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. God has made Himself readily available because He recognises that it is a very important element in relationship building. The question is, are you making yourself available to build your relationships with God? Are you available to listen when God is speaking to you or trying to get your attention? - Promises from Scripture... | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 9 November 2022 Promises from Scripture... Have you ever found God reminding you of some promises from Scripture? Why do you did God recall the promises in Ex 6:6-8 to Moses? It was to rebuild their conviction in God who is faithful to His promises. God has sworn an oath upon his own sacred name that He will do what He has promised. Isa 46:11 (NIV) From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do. To rebound we must rebuild our confidence in God. Heb 10:35 (NIV) So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. Let your convictions be rebuilt upon the assurances of those promises. Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link Recent Posts See All God does not leave us... - How valuable is the Scriptures to us? | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 5 June 2024 How valuable is the Scriptures to us? How valuable is the Scriptures to us? God has provided us His Word in order to help us to understand His ways and to live according to it. The Scriptures contains not the wisdom of man but the wisdom of God. 2 Timothy 3:16 - 17 (NIV) 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Warren Buffett is probably the one of the most successful, if not the most successful investor in the world. He is the second or third wealthiest man in the world. So legendary is his skills in investment that people have paid up to $2 million to charity, just to lunch with him. God is far wiser than Warren Buffet. God who is all knowing, who is all wise has chosen to reveal some of His wisdom to us through His Word. Rather than pay $2 million to lunch with Warren Buffet, I rather put my life trusting in God’s Word. A better investment of my life. - God does not leave us... | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 6 November 2025 God does not leave us... God does not leave us, or abandon us during difficult times. Rather, it is through the strength of our relationship with Him that we become more like Jesus who overcame the world. 1 John 5:4 - 5 (NIV) 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. The great victory we will gain in such times is our faith in God. Ironically, it is the same thing that many throw away during difficult times. Our assurance is that if we hold on to our faith in God, and don’t fall into bitterness or doubt, God will actually strengthen us at the time and manner that we need it!
