- God can use the lowest of the lowest | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 5 June 2025 God can use the lowest of the lowest Are you lowly? Are you insignificant? Have you been despised? Congratulations! God would like to use you. 1 Corinthians 1:27 - 29 (NIV) 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. God can use the lowest of the lowest, the most foolish of the foolish, the most despicable of the despised - for His glory! If we would humbly yield to Him, God will take the most lowly of materials to mould into a noble instrument in His hands. Just as He took dirt and formed Adam. So can He will you. - Seeking God's Wisdom | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 9 January 2025 Seeking God's Wisdom A humbling thought from Scripture that made me pause to consider my own wisdom. 1 Corinthians 3:18 - 20 (NIV) 18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; 20 and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” God help me not to be filled with worldly wisdom, nor my own wisdom. But rather let me seek God's wisdom. May I be willing to humble myself even to be a fool by the world's standards, in order that I may be wise in God.Seeking God's Wisdom Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link Recent Posts See All God does not leave us... - Sometimes, our past can constrain us | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 3 August 2022 Sometimes, our past can constrain us Exodus 4:19 (NIV) Now the LORD had said to Moses in Midian, "Go back to Egypt, for all the men who wanted to kill you are dead. Moses was once a star in Egypt, a prince. He ended up a lowly shepherd in the backside of the desert. His life was stuck in limbo because of his fear of being caught by Pharaoh. He could not move forward for 40 years because of his fear. Sometimes, our past can constrain us from moving forward in certain areas of our lives. Fears developed in our past can cause us to avoid certain situations or people. My fear of heights would have caused me to avoid being in tall buildings, or at least looking out from tall structures. I would have missed out on some incredible experiences if I did not overcome it. Are you missing out because of some fear from the past? - Grow in our relationship with God | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 7 September 2022 Grow in our relationship with God I came to realise that the deepest convictions we could ever develop in our journey of faith is through our relationship with God Himself. Often, we trust the people we know well, so will we trust the God we know well. Often, we trust the people who have proven themselves to us, so will we trust the God who has proven Himself to us in our experience. Hence, a key to growing deeper in our convictions is to determine to grow in our relationship with God. How determined are you? James 4:8a (NIV84) Come near to God and he will come near to you. - Humility is the antidote to being conceited. | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 6 April 2022 Humility is the antidote to being conceited. Humility is the antidote to being conceited. Humility begins when we begin to realise that there is much we do not know nor understand. Humility begins when we recognise we need God. And when we begin to humble ourselves, God begins to guide us. Psalms 25:9 (NIV) 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. God will bless the humble. James 4:6 (NIV) “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Let us be humble and find the grace of God. Amen? - Jack Hayford | Wilson & Lai Ling
Reflections Wilson Lim 3 May 2023 Jack Hayford When the glory of God is in a church, it will cause the church to become influential because of its impact. Jack Hayford during the early days of his church “Church on the Way” was a small congregation of 100. One day in 1971 as he was leaving the church sanctuary, he experienced the glory of God. It was as if a light glorious mist hung in the atmosphere and it was just for a moment. Things began to happen to the church and people just started coming! The church grew to over 10,000 people over the decades of his ministry. When God’s glory fills the church and as the church obediently moves in God’s purposes, there will be healing in lives, there will be nourishment for the soul, there will be power to cast out demons, power to heal the sick. There will be righteousness and purity. There will be godliness. Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link Recent Posts See All God does not leave us... Previous Next Wilson Lim Lai Ling 7 Oct 2025 Wilson Lim Purpose Over Preference Matthew 6:28-34 We all have our preferences. Is it possible that this is part of the problem? Our insistence on our preferences may be causing us unnecessary burdens, anxieties and worse of all, blind us to God's greater purposes for us. Ps. Wilson expounds Mark 6:28-34 to reveal why purpose should have priority over preference. And how it will impact our families, teams and churches. < Back Now available on Apple and Spotify podcast services Wilson Lim & Lai Ling Lim Messages Listen on: More sermons 121 True Faith is Not a Formula Wilson Lim 120 Suffering: Face It or Flee It Wilson Lim 119 Purpose Over Preference Wilson Lim 118 When Little Becomes Much Wilson Lim 117 Why Does God Want A Household?
