  • Are We Too Proud to Listen? | Wilson & Lai Ling

Reflections Wilson Lim 4 February 2026 Are We Too Proud to Listen? The conceited reject anything that does not fit their perspective. Like a huge filter, only certain things can get through. Only facts that support their perspective are accepted!
In my time as a research scientist, I came into contact with a number of huge egos. Some scientist even created their own scientific journals so that they can promote their own theories more! And they reject other theories that contradict theirs. The result? Incorrect conclusions due to selective facts. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)
Do we have a rigid perspective in our hearts and write off everything else or anybody who has a different view? Without seriously attempting to understand their point of view? If so, perhaps we are having some conceit in our own hearts. Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link Recent Posts See All Are We Too Proud to Listen? Humility begins when we begin to realise that there is much we do not know nor understand. Humility begins when we recognise we need God. And when we begin to humble ourselves, God begins to guide us.

  • Stir up the gift | Wilson & Lai Ling

Reflections Wilson Lim 4 February 2026 Stir up the gift Did you know that God will provide us gifts, but it is our responsibility to stir it aflame? Romans 12:6 - 8 (NIV) 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. 7 If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. To bring it to its appropriate fruition. God gives but we need to apply it. To start using it faithfully, to learn how to use it wisely and more effectively. To activate these giftedness, it usually requires us to apply faith. It requires courage, self-discipline, etc. And sometimes we get stuck precisely because we seem to lack some of these things. Have you considered giving it a shot? Stepping out in faith, looking to God for His grace? Seeking a mentor to guide you? You might be amazed! • Becoming more like Christ | Wilson & Lai Ling

Reflections Wilson Lim 6 January 2026 Becoming more like Christ Jesus demonstrated to us how a fully yielded, Spirit-led man could live with such a life full of love, mercy and compassion. A life full of divine authority and power. Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. Can we be aspire to such a life? How possible do you think it is? Not childish, but child-like—trusting, humble, and obedient. Children matter to God: they are His heritage, His reward, and His hope for a godly next generation. So don’t just talk about Jesus at home—bring your children to Him, model His relevance in your life, and surround them with people who will help them grow in faith. < Back Now available on Apple and Spotify podcast services Wilson Lim & Lai Ling Lim Messages Listen on: More sermons 124 Let the children come to Jesus Wilson Lim 123 How Will Your Life Count?
